what on earth is nintendo doing?
A little ramble:
I'm no expert, but can I just say a few things about how Nintendo is managing their campain for Nintendo Switch 2?
I haven't used anything from Nintendo since i was in middle school, and this year i bought myself a Nintendo Switch, and I was petrified at how HARD it is to control it.
I have a light version of it so it's even SMALLER of a normal one, which I cannot eve imagine, but the control in general feel like they were trying to please playstation gamers? Like why on earth my brother do I need two joysticks on both sides of the console that have attached on the top little pieces of plastic that does not stay attached?

May I say: "mio cugino lo poteva far meglio" (My cousin would have done it better)

And the price of games is just... depressing.

BUT the thing that made me say "I think I want to write about this" is just: what do you mean we wont own the console nor the games we play?
What dystopia is this?

There's a post I saw on instagram lately made by Adrian Fartade, a romanian/italian creator that mainly talks about space, but in this reel he talked about how much we are regressing into feudalism.
we don't properly own anything, there are a billion of platforms for streaming but they can take away your favourite movie whenever they want at the end of the day, and also don't dispaly certain movies/certain topics.
I don't use it too much, but I'm planning on doing it more, MUBI is a very interesting streaming platforms with many things I don't see very frequently, nor on tv, nor on streaming services or in cinemas even.
A very sad example of what I'm saying is the movie "la Chimera" by Alice Rohrwacher, an Italian director: the movie was apparently very acclaimed between afesionados of movies in general, but the movie was literally avaiable in cinemas for a week, or for days.
Basically Italy doesn't invest in cinema anymore as it used to do, and we are directly suffering from it because 1. Cinemas are an expensive thing not everyone can or wants to afford and 2.Even if you wanted to see something interesting you cannot/it has no branding or whatsoever/it disappears from cinemas super fast.

In the past I discussed about this kind of things about Nintendo on spacehey with a person that declared that many things were already pretty much in the state we are already seeing, but since I'm no specialist in Nintendo or emulating or anything around this topic I'll leave the whole Nintendo topic at this.
They look like they're making just fun of the consumer, knowing we can't really do nothing about it (but seeing how many things people do that even inspire me into trying to emulate stuff i think they also underestimate the power of people a LITTLE BIT too much looool, I'm just sad because i love having physical copies and just seeing them on my screen is not too satysfying, but entertainment and culture should be for everyone)

I also just find ridicolous the region block thing: I hate it, always had and always will
